.. manage to snap a couple of pix.. this is where he sits in the living room to greet ppl.. 2 huge spittoon at the side
King Mongkut has chosen this particular 15th century palace to be his official residence when he was in trone, hence there are his personal belongings in this main pavilion.. too bad taking of pictures not allowed
.... likewise, seeing stars after a long climb up here..
This tower, said to be used as a viewing tower by King Mongkut to gaze stars..
Looks like the relics left on this site unattended.. wow, would be a treasure to many..
Reading through some guide books, this place is full of temples and palaces.. Not really keen to see temples but thought I should check a few out since i'm hear.. decided to check the first one out.. 17th century Chantharakasem Palace, reason being.. it says, King Mongkut chose this palace as his official residence when in throne.. (as though I know him.. ) yeah, from the movie "The King and I"..
