Chiang Khong - Farewell to Arie/Sunny

here I say farewell to Arie and Sunny, who will be heading back via the eastern side of Thailand.. nice company for a week.. and a wonderful riding buddies.. bye and see you soon in KL... thnks for everything.. cheerio..!!
well, it could cost me up to a thousand RM.. for the ferry ride plus the 'over time' here and there.. and not sure if the carnet (temporary import permit of vehicle) could be done on Sunday.. well, guess i better sacrifice a day staying here in Chiang Khong and do the crossing on Monday... lesson learned, never cross boarders (at small towns) on a weekend..
arrived at the town Chiang Khong.. north east of Thailand dividing Laos by Mekong river.. we went straight to the customs office wanting to do the papers for my bike.. oops, custom closes on Sunday.. so we went to the pier whr the immigration is.. and was told I could cross by booking the whole ferry (Bht4,000) and pay 'over time'...
over looking Mekong..

some narrow twisties too.. juz don't fall off the cliff.. it's a few hundred feet down..
the way to Chiang Khong has reasonably good condition roads..
