Bridge over the River Kwai -by night

This town is all about world war 2, particularly during the Japanese occupation in Asia.. This would relate much better to my dad la..
This picture is taken at the museum.. the condition of the bridge after being bombarded when the allied strike back in 1945. It was later repaired to this condition where it stand below.

The so called Death Railway..

The Resort.. another nice rstrant using an old colonial mansion
Probably the most beaten bicycle you've ever seen.. tyres without tyre wall.. juz tie to the rims.. haha
our 3km march to the bridge.. Nice restaurants along the way.. ....reminded me of Pearl Harbour in Hawaii
If you can see the figures of the death toll of POW taken by the Japs to build the 415km railway line connecting Thailand into Burma in the 40's.. This place being so memorable as it is the biggest Jap POW base camp around Asia. over 200,000 POW and civilians brought into this place whereby half lost thier life.. including 5,000 british as shown in this chart..
